nap time today

This is how Abby slept during her nap today.  She stayed just like this the whole 30 minutes. Maybe it is a good thing she doesn't sleep much longer!

Well, we have a crawler on our hands!  She has been so close for about a week, and Friday she decided she would take off.  Not a fan of the hardwood floors yet, but she is really doing well and is so proud of herself.  Way to go Abs!

pool partay

Many of you don't know it, but I have a 30 year old son!  He is the joy of my life.  His birthday is today!   Well, he is not actually my son, but one of our closest and dearest friends.  We have called him our son for a long while now.  Rosey is very special to our family.  He had a pool party at his apartment complex and many friends were there to help him celebrate.  We all had a great time.  Abby loves the water and we swam for about 3 hours! For some reason, I did not get a picture of him (guess he was too busy hosting his guests), but we all had a great time!  Happy Birthday Sweet Rosey!!!  We love you so much!!!

tulsa baby

On Tuesday, we took a little girl's trip to Tulsa to visit Ashley and her sweet girls for a couple of days.  Brynn and I loaded up our girls on Tues. morning and hit the road.  Got a bit turned around on the way up north, but once we got there, we had an incredible time.  The girls LOVED playing with each other.  Abby loved watching everything that was going on.  I had a great time catching up with Ashley and seeing her beautiful house.  We loved our trip!  Thanks for letting us destroy your house and increase the noise level an incredible amount!!  Love you friend!

9 month check-up

Today we had Abby's 9 month appointment.  She weighed in at 17.12 pounds and is 29 inches long!   She is 25% weight and 90% height!  She is a BAIN for sure.  She is just about to crawl. She practiced all weekend long.  It was hilarious.  During her appointment, she had only one shot.  I did get to talk to the dr. about her lack of eating food because of gagging and throwing it up.  He said to keep trying, she might outgrow it, but if not, he would refer us to a feeding specialist when she turns one!   Only Abby!!!  On the way home, she was exhausted from all the excitement and craziness!  I can't believe Abigail is 9 months old.  Praise God for every month!

9 months old!

Abigail is 9 months old today!  Her doctor appt. isn't until next week, so I have no idea how much she weighs, etc.  but she is growing way too fast.  However, she still doesn't eat very well. She does not like much of anything and she gags or throws up any time you give her any amount of table food at all. I just keep telling myself that she won't go to first grade eating baby food and formula.  She has a few new tricks and she is just about to crawl.  I love to watch her practice crawling while she is in bed.  I watch her on the monitor after naps or in the morning before I go get her.  She is still looking just like her daddy and adores him!  Still takes 30 minute naps.  Maybe that will change once she gets mobile..  That would be nice!  She loves to clap and throw her hands up when you ask how big she is.  She is a joy and I love her more than I could have ever imagined.

attached much?

Abigail LOVES the bumpers on her bed.  When you put her in her bed, she will look at her mobile, for about 5 seconds and then go straight for her bumper.  I don't know why her arm doesn't fall asleep and bother her all night, but it doesn't ever seem to.  When we travel, we take her bumpers with us so she will sleep all night.  Spoiled much?  She might just be taking them to kindergarten one day for her nap time.  If that's what it takes, right?

more swimming

Well, we went swimming again on Friday. We met some new friends from the neighborhood at the pool. When we got there, Abby decided she would take a 30 minute nap and then she was ready to play.  It's a great pool and we had a great time.    This was the third time this week we went swimming. I know this is all I have posted about lately, but that is because all we did this week was swim!  It's too hot to go do much else around here these days!  Will do more exciting things next week....

fun swim date

It's too hot in Texas so what better way to celebrate summer than pool parties!  Abby had a great time swimming in a pool other than her pool in the backyard.  She wasn't too sure what to think at first, but warmed up and loved it.  Of course, the pool was heated, so it wasn't the least bit cold, but it was still refreshing!  Thanks, Michelle, for having us over.  We loved it and I am serious about moving into your back yard for the summer.

crazy Sunday morning

This morning, we found Abby like this taking her nap.  Seriously, she was sound asleep!

Also,we took Abby to the church nursery for the first time today!  I know, it sounds horrible that she is 8 months old and hasn't gone to church yet, but I wanted to wait until winter was over....and yes, now that it's JUNE,  I think I had more of a separation issue than Abby did! Anyway, I think she had a great time and smelled like the sweet older ladies that kept her when she got home.
