pretty toes

Abby decided that she needed "toes like Mommy's". So we went to the store and she picked out what color she wanted to paint her toes. The first color she picked was a scary orange color, so we went with her second choice, pink! She has loved having them painted. She doesn't want to put shoes on and cover them up. Hilarious. Our feet are ready for summer.

saturday morning cartoons

When I was 2 and 1/2, we sat around in our pjs on Saturday mornings and watched cartoons at our house until lunch time! Not in 2010!! Wow. Now, we get dressed and head to a movie theater to eat and watch Saturday morning cartoons there! What a fun outing for our little family. Abby loved it and we are looking forward to summer movies there all summer long! YAY!

it's almost summer...

I know that it has only been 80 degrees and in August I will think that 80 degrees is heavenly...but right now, it's hot! I am not excited about the heat that the Texas summer brings, but it is coming and there is no way to stop it. Sooooo....we will go to the pool, get sweaty, eat tons of popsicles and enjoy every minute of it.

potty trained

"what's the big deal, Mom?"

This post is soooo much more for me than it is for anyone else. I have to document stuff like this or I will forget.

So....Sunday morning, Abby came to me and asked to use the potty. I said, "sure" and she did it. I thought it was just a total fluke and went with it. Well, she did it 6 times that day. I had no big girl pants or anything. MY plan was to potty train her this summer. Well, she ended up potty training herself. I was SO caught off guard and SO not ready for this. I thought she would wake up Monday morning and things would go back the way they were. However, she kept it up and has done a great job. We went out Monday morning and bought big girl pants and it has gone great ever since. I think she knows more about this potty training thing than I do. She has amazed me. I couldn't be prouder of her. Abigail, you never cease to amaze me. I love you so much and I am so dang proud of you. You are truly my BIG GIRL!!!

Now....if only we could get rid of the paci!?!?!?!?
