I love to watch this baby grow! He moves all the time. I don't remember Abby moving near this much. I think I might be in trouble with this boy!
"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart." Jer. 1:5a I LOVE that HE loves this baby even more than I do. I LOVE that HE is knitting him together and cares about every hair on his head...even now! Thank you, Lord, for this gift.

BU Homecoming 2010

Bo and some of the "old" Delts. This picture cracks me up because of the stroller and the kids in it. My, how things have changed!
Not a great picture, but the best we got!

Watching the parade

We took Abby to Waco for the day for Baylor Homecoming. We arrived in Waco around 9:00 and headed to the Delt breakfast. It is always the best spot for watching the parade! Abby loved it. Once she got the idea that she had to "fight" for the candy that people in the parade were throwing at her, she really loved it! It was great to see lots of old faces and friends that we have not seen in a long time. After the parade, we walked around campus for a bit and saw the new and improved Bear Pit. We tried to go to the Bookstore next, but it was way too busy for us. After touring campus a bit, we headed to Ninfas for a fabulous lunch! Our last stop was to Bear Mountain. One of our friends owns it and we wanted to stop by and show some support. The weather was touch and go all morning, but the rain held out until we were on our way home. The football game ended up being delayed a bit for bad weather and we were glad to miss that! A good time was had by all and Sic Em Bears!!!!

arboretum 2010

Abby and Reid

Love this boy! He found the ONLY mud puddle in the whole place!

We took our annual trip to the arboretum this week to see all of the pumpkins! I love the Dallas arboretum. It is such a beautiful place and the kids have a great time running around and moms have a great time trying to catch some good pictures of them with the pumpkins! It was a bit crowded, but a beautiful morning there. Have I mentioned that I LOVE this time of year? I am taking in every minute with Abby this fall and holiday season.

1st pumpkin patch of 2010

Abby and I went with friends to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch last Friday. It was a beautiful morning and I am so glad we went. We had a great time on a hay ride and walking around looking at all the sights. These last 2 pictures make me laugh so hard because Abby sat and "talked" to Dopey for a good while. She then went down the row hugging all of the dwarfs and was sure to give Snow White a big hug as well. So cute! We are loving this weather and this season. Happy Fall!!!

pregnancy and infant loss remembrance day

Reese Catherine Rowe

Today is a very special day for 2 reasons. The first reason is that it is my sister's birthday! Happy Birthday, Katie!!! The second reason today is special is because it is National Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. My sister designed these great t-shirts that our family and good friends are wearing today in honor of Reese and all of her friends that are in heaven with her. Please take a minute to thank the Lord for your children, hug them tight today and pray for the precious families who have had to give their child back to the Lord.

texas state fair

Riding a few rides

Watching a show

I love Columbus Day! Bo is always off of work, so we decided to take Abby to the State Fair. We were there when it opened and I am so glad we were. It got busy as the day went on. Abby had a ball riding rides, eating popcorn and cotton candy, and seeing all the animals. She was the one that begged to ride the huge ferris wheel, so we took her. She loved it. Bo and I didn't enjoy it near as much as she did! We had a great morning and got home in time for some great naps!

Hog/A&M weekend 2010

Watching Jason and Katie land

Abs and Z picked up where they left off

Colson and Abby

Giving up on getting a good pic

Genius idea...climbing up the air mattress and sliding down

Mom and Dad with Garrett, Abs and Zach

Mom and Dad with the grandkids

Me and my favorite cheerleader

The whole crew

What a crazy, fun weekend we had at the Bain house! It was time for the Arkansas Razorbacks to meet up with the Texas Aggies once again at Cowboy Stadium. The whole family came in for the big game. We had a ball to say the least! The kids ran around this house and played very well together.

Mom and Dad arrived on Thursday and it was truly the calm before the storm. Jason, Katie, Zach and Colson flew in on Friday morning. It was fun watching them land at this tiny "airport" in the middle of Plano. Abby and Zach took off running and precious Colson was the happiest baby I have ever met in my life. We grabbed lunch and headed home thinking the kids would nap, but who had time for sleep? Faber and his whole gang arrived Friday afternoon. We ate dinner here and settled in for the night. The night was not complete without a good game of hearts, however.

Saturday morning, everyone headed different directions for a bit. Faber and Meredith met some friends for coffee and Dad and Jason ran a 5k in Grapevine. We had a big brunch here, tried to take some pictures of the whole family and then headed out to the game!! It wasn't a super great game, but the HOGS did pull out a win. We got home around 8 and the Longview crew headed back home. After eating some pizza, we all crashed.

Sunday morning, Mom and Dad literally ran out of the house. I think they were ready to get back home for some peace and quiet! They didn't even tell me and Katie good-bye. The suitcases were flying down the sidewalk. It was pretty funny. I wish I had taken a picture. Bo, Abby and I took Katie and her family to the "airport" and loaded them up. We watched them take off and were headed home in no time.

I think I could sleep for a week. I wish I could! The weekend was so much fun and I look forward to all being together again. We don't get to do it often with such crazy schedules and such, but it is always a ball when we do. I love ya, fam. I praise the Lord for each of you and what HE has done in our lives this year. I can't not mention sweet Reese in this post too. You were with us in spirit and we all thought about you this weekend too. Thanks for watching out for us baby girl!

what we've been up to this week

Princess party for a friend

Veggie Tales Live show

This week was a busy one. We started last weekend with a Veggie Tales Live show. Abby loves Veggie Tales and we thought for sure she would love the show. She didn't love it, but she did enjoy herself and we were all ok with leaving at intermission! The next day, we went to a fun princess birthday party for a friend and neighbor. Abby loves to dress up, so this was right up her alley!

My brother (on the left) and David

We got a phone call over the weekend that made everyone in my family very sad. My brother's best friend was killed in a horrible car accident over the weekend. David has a precious wife and two children - Benjamin is 2 and Katherine is 3 months old. David lived life well and everyone who knew him loved him.

We headed to Little Rock to be there for the visitation and funeral. The service was precious, but it is always so hard to understand why things like this happen. As I sat at the funeral and could not even sing without tears (and the ugly cry) I looked over at David's wife who was singing loudly and raising her hands praising the Lord. What a testimony. Please pray for Sabrina, David's mom and sister who are left behind to miss him. What a man of God he was.
