spring

I think it's safe to say spring is finally here!  It seemed to take a while to get here this year.

We have been enjoying the weather this week!

We went to pick up Abby one day after school and H 

was watching the "big boys" play basketball.

He wanted to play so badly!!  One day soon son, one day soon.

another week

Another week has come and gone.  Abby went back to school but now it was H's turn for spring break.  

We started the week with a visit from friends who now live in Tulsa.  We had a great time catching up!

A trip to the mall one day.

This morning was some snuggle time before church.

Ready for another week! 

spring break part 2

On Thursday, H had MDO again, so Abby and I did some more shopping and met Bo for lunch. This was the highlight of Abby's week.  

We grabbed Sprinkles cupcakes and went up to his office for a bit.

After we picked up H, we went to the pool again with friends and closed it down.  

Friday was a beautiful day and we headed to the arboretum with friends.
It was so much fun to be out and enjoy the scenery and play all day long.

Friday evening the pool had a DJ, pool games and the grill was on for dinner!  

After hitting the pool three times this week we are really ready for summer!

It was truly a great spring break!

spring break....so far

Our spring break is off to a great start.  The weather has been perfect and we spent most of the past two days outside.  Monday morning we went to soccer and then lunch with our friends.

We spent a few hours at the park that afternoon.

On Tuesday, Hunter still had MDO so Abby and I did some shopping, got our nails

done and ate lunch together.  She was so excited all day long.

We picked Hunter up and headed to the pool!!!  The pool was heated to 84 degrees and 

the kids had a blast.   Many of our friends were there and the kids swam all afternoon.

After swimming we went to a friend's house for dinner.  Busy day!

The weather today is cold and windy.  Go figure!  Friends are coming over to play.

We are having a great time together this week at home.  My kids have been sleeping in with the time change, loving no real schedule and not rushing out the door in the morning.  After going to the pool yesterday it really is making me look forward to summer!

little mermaid and big things

Another week is flying by and only one week until spring break!

Last weekend, I took Abby to see The Little Mermaid with some friends.  

It was so cute and Abs loved it.

This week has been cold again but one afternoon we found a little 

sun and some time to ride bikes with neighbors.  

 This little one was playing soccer with some

boys and insisting that he keep his helmet on. 

AND...some big news in the fam.....

H is actually wanting to be a big boy!  Not all the

time but I will take what I can get right now.  

Abby's school has a program called Kingdom Tales where the kids can write a book

and the school will publish it.  They were presented their books and Abby spoke

in front of all of her peers and parents.  She did great.  I was so proud. 

I know for most kids this isn't a big deal, but for Abby it's huge!

It's almost March!  Ready for some more spring-like

weather to stick around!  We have lots of playing to do!  

busy and random

January and February used to be long, boring months.  Well, not anymore.  I guess with Hunter's bday, Bo's bday and Valentine's festivities things just get busy.   We had family in town two weekends in a row and last weekend we went to a friend's ranch for V-Day.  Lots going on.

The weekend Bo's parents were here we took them painting and then went bowling.

During the week we had dentist appointments, dance class,
swim lessons, BSF and playdates...on top of
school and Valentine's Day parties.

We went to a friend's ranch this past weekend. It was a blast.

The weather was perfect and it was just so nice to get away and enjoy

the company and scenery.  Beautiful.

The boys and hubs were there too but they were too busy 

running around to stop and take a picture.

Just three weeks until spring break!  Looking forward to that and maybe 

slowing down just a little bit???   Ha!  : )

snow day!!!

Leave it to Dallas, Texas to have the most random weather!!!  The weather man said we MIGHT get a little dusting of snow.  Well, we got more than that for sure.  Now, compared to other places this was a dusting, but the roads were slick and schools were let out early.  

We had some fun!

We played out front with neighbors all afternoon. 

The girls headed to one house for hot chocolate

and the boys came here for some basketball and car racing.  

It had pretty  much melted by the late afternoon, but the temps are so low it may freeze tonight. 

Will see what tomorrow will hold!  I would not want my whole winter to look like this, BUT 

today was so much fun.  Great memories were made.  

daddy/daughter dance

Abby and Bo had their first daddy/daughter dance last night. Abby had been looking forward to this for a long time.  We went to Sweet and Sassy and did hair, make-up and nails that afternoon.  

She loved every minute.

Bo bought her a corsage.

My parents were in town for a visit.  It was great having them here!

Abby was out past my bedtime, but Mom and I stayed up to hear all about it.  She came in the house smiling, shared a few stories and crashed.  We have heard more stories today and seen some video that Bo took of the action.  Such a fun night for them and precious memories are being made!

Happy THIRD birthday to Hunter!  You have no idea how much this boy makes me smile and laugh.   He is laid back, content, happy, talkative, funny, all boy, silly, curious, smart and kind.

You make us proud, Hunter!  Love you so much.  

weekend

We had the best weekend.  Friday we started it off by celebrating H's bday with a few friends at

Chuck-E-Cheese.  We had the whole place to ourselves and it was so much fun!

His actual bday is Tuesday.  Pretty sure we will be celebrating all week.

The kids got new bikes so we spent most of Saturday outside with 

our neighbors.  I LOVE our neighborhood!!!

H also got a much needed haircut. 

Today after church the kids wanted to do a lemonade stand with 

neighbors and good friends.  It was so much fun!  We had a blast doing

it and the kids ended up making some good money!!

Only in Texas can you do a lemonade stand in January.

Such a fun weekend.  Don't want it to end.
Cold weather is expected tomorrow and most of the week.

We sure enjoyed the time outside the past two days.
Looking forward to spring and

more time outside.

ft worth fair and rodeo

This past weekend the weather was gorgeous!  Bo had Monday off for MLK Day and Abs was out of school so we headed out to the Ft. Worth rodeo for the day.  It was so much fun!  

I didn't know what to expect but there were great rides, "carnie" food, all kind of animals 

to see and games to take our money play.  A perfect day!

Hunter wasn't scared to ride anything....Abby watched him quite a bit.  

Then, out of the blue, she wanted to do this...all alone. She got her mat, walked up there

and the guy gave her quite a push to send her down.  She loved it!

Oh the games.  We came home with a shark and a whale.  Just what we needed.

On the way home....Mission accomplished!  : )
