I had a sweet time at Hunter's Mother's Day tea yesterday. The kids were all so confused excited about having their moms come to school with them for a bit. Hunter was so pumped he was sticking his tongue out in every picture! Such the charmer.
We made a craft together and had snacks.
This is the craft that Hunter gave me at school.
He made "all that a 2 year old could make" and it
turned out so precious. He was so proud giving
it to me. I love it.
After I left the brunch, I was running errands and I got a message that a friend from college
put her 2 year old down for a nap on Monday and the little girl never woke up. My friend, Laura, also has a 3 year old son and a week old baby girl. This family is living a nightmare right now. I have never wanted to hug my kids and hold them as tight as I do this week. I have been praying for peace and comfort that only HE can bring them. I know from my sister that this is going to be a long road of grieving and I just hurt for them. If you read this, please join me in praying for them. I know my own kids are in HIS hands and HE loves them more than I do. That makes this Mother's Day even more special.
