There is nothing like Colorado in the summer.  Over the past week I have taken almost 300 pictures of my precious family and the amazing scenery.  I am sad to come home to 108 degree weather but all good things must come to an end!!  Thank you, Lord, for an amazing time in the mountains!

Ahhhh.  Father's Day.  Trying to get the "perfect" picture of a dad and his kids.  

 Clearly this didn't work in our family yesterday.  

However, it's where we are right now.  Abby - naked and not wanting to stop what she is doing for a picture with Dad.  Hunter - naked a bruise on his head and not wanting to stop either.  And there is Bo. Smiling, holding them and loving them anyway.  This IS a perfect Father's Day picture after all.

We had some adult only fun this weekend!  The Hills invited us to join them at the Ranger game and it was so much fun!  Thanks for the great night, Hills!

B  - Thank you for being an amazing daddy to Abby and Hunter.  I love watching you with the kids and seeing how much they both adore you.  Thank you for going to work every day so that we can do all the fun things that we do.  Thank you for being the leader of our home and for always setting an amazing example.  We love you so!

I decided a while ago that we needed a fun and different girl's night out!  So...I got busy planning a party at Painting With a Twist.  This place is just adorable and it was so much fun.  I am NO artist but I was guaranteed a good teacher and a fun night and so I jumped on it.  The teacher walked you through it but you could add some of your own "creativity".  Ha!  What is that?  

It was a blast.  This is one girl's night out that I will be planning again soon!  Good times and fun memories.  Now..where to put it in my house?

Sweet Abs is doing VBS this week at Prestonwood.  She seems to be liking it, but of course, she would rather just be home with me.  It's total chaos and I am just thrilled she is going.  This is BIG for her!

A weekend isn't complete at our house unless something is smoked or gilled outside.  Sunday, Bo decided to round up some friends last minute to watch the Baylor vs. Arkansas baseball game.  It finally happened....my hogs played my bears.  I honestly didn't care who won, but it was fun to wear a hog shirt in a room full of bears!  : )  The hogs ended up winning that game, but the final game is tonight and the winner will be one step closer to the college world series!  It's been a HUGE year for Baylor athletics and I wish both teams the best.  Sic Em Bears and Go Hogs!!

This week has been FULL of dance recital preparations.  This dance stuff is serious business!

Dress rehearsal was Friday night and it was long.  Abby did great because she was so into watching the dancers.  She loved every minute and didn't want to leave.  However, it was a late night.

Saturday she woke up early and was excited.  She got dressed early and posed for a million pictures.  Once the show started Abby could not wait to see the dances and get on that stage.  This is so out of character for Abby but dance is something she loves.  She was smiling the whole time. The biggest smile I got was when she got her trophy and after the show when she was flooded with flowers and gifts.  So proud of you, Abby!  You did a great job and we are all so proud of you.

This week has been busy as we are preparing for Abby's dance recital this Saturday!  Pictures last Saturday morning, run throughs Monday and Tuesday night, dress rehearsal tomorrow night and finally the recital on Saturday.  Good thing I figured out how to curl her hair!  : )

We had some Baylor friends over today for some fun and lunch.  It got way too quiet upstairs and when I went and checked on the kids they had turned on a movie...and then asked me to go pop them some popcorn.   I did.   Love these guys and love summer play dates!

Since when is Hunter not the baby anymore?!  He looks HUGE next to Miss B!

We woke up this morning and while Bo and I were chugging drinking our morning caffeine in the kitchen, we heard music coming from our bedroom.   Bo went in the room to find Hunter, alone, sitting in the chair with Bo's Ipad watching a video.  

They learn WAY too early!  Hope you had a great weekend.  We sure did!
