summer break...finally!

Summer is finally here!!  We are in the second week and loving it so far.  We have been busy enough but had enough quiet/down time as well.  Lots of swimming and playing with friends.  

Abby brought a ton of things home the last week of school.

Dance recital was awesome.  It was Abby's 4th year to dance

and she loves recital time!

We took Sprinkles cupcakes to Bo's office one 

afternoon last week.  The kids LOVE doing that!

Ice cream before bed.

Hunter loves to play golf with Bo.  He would spend all day 

out there if he could.  I love that they do this together.

H finished up swim lessons and we have loved spending 

plenty of time at the pool.  

This week Abby is loving a dance/cheerleading camp every afternoon!  

 Our summer is off to a great start and we are loving every minute!  

20 year reunion

I graduated from a small high school in 1994.  It was a great school, but there were some things about it that let's just say were "unique".  An example would be a stop light in the cafeteria.  If we were too loud it would turn red and we had to stop talking.  We were also dismissed one side of the table at a time.  This was something that happened when we were in high school.   We really didn't know any different but we weren't naive enough to think this was normal either.  We just had no choice.  

Fast forward 20 years and here we are.  We all turned out just fine and we still have this bond that is pretty unique in itself.  We truly love each other.  Most of us still keep in touch.  That's what happens when you meet when you are five and grow up with each other and in each other's homes.  You know each other's families and love them too.  These are my peeps...my extended family.  For that reason alone, I am so thankful for ole ABHS.  Here's to 20 more!

 It was yesterday morning and no one was really dressed but Mom said she wanted a picture since we were all together.  We aren't often all together because we are all spread out in Texas and Arkansas.  We took the picture and I thought it would never be one I would like or post to show the world.  Well, I was sure wrong.  I LOVE this picture.  I love everything about it. I love that Z is wearing a crazy fur hat, I love my brother is making his usual serious face, I love that David is with us on his Gotcha Day.   

I love that I know whatever life brings we are there for each other and face it together.  

I am so thankful for this group of amazing people that I am blessed to call my family.
