who needs a chair?

Today when I was doing something in the kitchen, Abby was playing in the den.  It got really quiet and when I looked to see what she was doing, I found her in this box!   She was just sitting there watching tv.  I ran to grab my camera. She is at a hard age to take pictures because she grabs at the camera and wants to see herself after a picture is taken.  I was lucky to get these!!

Elmo Live was one of Abby's Christmas presents and she LOVES to dance with Elmo.  It is hilarious.  She gets quite upset when the song ends and plays it over and over.  She is a pretty funny little thing!

Abby decided she needed to put on some boots, gloves and her hat over her pjs this morning.  Nice look Abs!

We have had a great Christmas week!  It was a very busy and crazy week, but Abby was a trooper and had a great time with cousins and many different family members.   From watching Christmas Vacation on Christmas Eve to seeing old high school friends to talking about other crazy family members and eating WAY too much of Mom's amazing food, it was a White family Christmas to remember.

 Christmas is such a fun time of the year.  Not only do we celebrate Christ's birth, but we are surrounded by family and friends that we love dearly.  I always love to go home and be with my entire family.  It is always such a special, precious time for me.  It's even more fun now that we have kids to chase around and watch grow up together.  I always hate to leave, but know that the next time we are together will be even more special and something that I  look forward to. 

 

looonnggg week

It's been a long week and a half around here.  I had shingles last week and needless to say, Abby and I didn't get out much at all!  So far this week, it's been too cold to really get out and do anything.  So...we are bored.  Abby is putting boxes on her head for some entertainment....more fun to come next week in Arkansas for Christmas!!  

neighborhood Christmas party

I love our neighborhood!  Tonight, they had a Christmas tree lighting party from 4-7.  They had choirs singing Christmas carols, gingerbread houses, hot chocolate, cookies, Santa, a huge Christmas tree and bounce houses.  It was so much fun to walk around and see neighbors all out having fun together.  We loved it!!!  Abby was brave enough to get in the bounce house.  Bo and I couldn't believe she even got in, much less loved it.  We didn't get to stay for the actual lighting of the tree because it is past Abby's bed time, but loved being there early.  Merry Christmas!

thanksgiving

We headed down to Houston for the Thanksgiving break.  Abby had a GREAT time with her sweet cousins and her Mimi and Papa.  Her favorite family member, however, was the "wa-wa"...the pet dog.  She woke up from about every nap and each morning saying "wa-wa" and wanting to go see Missy.  Poor dog!   Bo and I saw many friends and were able to sneak away for a movie one day and some dinners with friends!  Thanks Mimi and Papa.   Won't be long until we are back in Houston again.

Christmas 2007

Abby's cousin, Zach, turned one yesterday.  Zach is 9 weeks younger than Abby.  We don't get to see them too much, but we all have a great time when we do.  I am looking so forward to Christmas and having them together again!  Here are some pics from the last year. Happy Birthday precious Zach!  Abby and I are so glad you were born one year ago!!!

Yes, I am aware that it is November and a bit early, but my neighborhood play group met at the mall to take Santa pics.  I think Abby did great!  What do you think?

Abby loves the Lohrding boys! She kept trying to kiss them and her daddy was kind of freaking out about it.  Luke didn't seem to mind at all.  Too funny!   We were going to go to Baylor homecoming, but instead, Abby put on her Baylor overalls and off we went to watch football and catch up.
