not even sure where to begin....

I am so far behind on blogging.  Not that anyone really cares or reads blogs much anymore but this is my scrapbook.  ANYWAY.....I need to post about our 3rd annual delt dinner, parachuting Santa, Christmas in Arkansas and a weekend at the ranch but so many pictures and so little time right now.
Christmas has exploded in my house and I have just finished putting decorations up and about to go through toys and clean out.  So......for now one of my faves.

I hope you all had a very Merry Christmas!!!

funny random weekend pics

We had a busy weekend but it was a blast!

On Friday, Hunter was playing with the manger scene and I heard him saying "Joseph?"
I looked over and saw that Spiderman was now playing the role of Joseph.
Not sure about Jake, Izzy and the cars, but this made me laugh.

Saturday morning we took the kids snow tubing at the Gaylord.
So fun!

After the North Pole Express and dinner we stopped by the
neighborhood Christmas event and the kids took their picture with Santa.

Tis the season for Christmas parties!  We had our Life Group
dinner and then a Favorite Things Party after that on Sunday night.
So blessed to be surrounded by neighborhood friends!!

Looking forward to the last week of parties, gift exchanges and Christmas events!

north pole express 2013 - a 5 year tradition

Five years ago, we signed up to ride the North Pole Express with our friends, the Browns.  Well, five years, two children and some more friends later, we are still loving this tradition every December together.

H trying to catch the "snowflakes".

I was asked at dinner what we were going to do once our kids outgrow this tradition.
I honestly have no clue, but I am sure we will come up with something.  For now, I am loving
our December traditions and as I look back at 2009 N.P.E. pictures can't believe how
fast time goes.

Christmas - Part 1

We escaped the Dallas ice storm and spent the weekend in Houston for part 1 of Christmas 2014.
Bo's mom starts decorating for Christmas in October.  Her whole house is covered in Christmas but this tree is my favorite.  The picture doesn't even do it justice.

Abs and Papa

Breakfast with Santa.  A Bain tradition for the last 10 years.
This is the best Santa I have ever seen.  Sweet man too.

Group cousin hug with the big man.

This picture is my favorite from the whole weekend.
Priceless.

Three generations.

After the breakfast, we came home and made the kids WAIT until the
BAYLOR game was at halftime to open a few presents.
We had a room full of Baylor alum watching the game together.  It was a great game!!

We made it back to Dallas on Sunday with no problems at all.  We had prepared ourselves for
a long drive but it only took us about 20 min longer than normal.  Thankful for a safe trip!

Schools are cancelled today.  We all slept in and the kids are happy playing with new toys.
Thankful for this slow day at home after a busy weekend!

thanksgiving 2013

We had a pretty quiet but fun Thanksgiving this year.  Bo fried a turkey and some friends came over to eat, play and watch the Cowboy game with us.

So thankful for this girl.

Much love between these two.

Love this turkey too.

H was the first one to the table.  No big shock there!

After dinner we decorated turkey cupcakes.  This one looks more like a bear,
but oh well!  We also did a thanksgiving craft with our friends.

All the turkeys here.

Such a fun day with sweet friends.  Happy Thanksgiving 2013!

thankful wednesday

What a fun, crazy, busy week it's been so far!

Thankful for these two and their love for each other.
I know they won't stand like this in a few more years.

Love it.

a week of thanks

Towards the end of our photo session, H was done.  However,
I am so happy that she kept shooting pics of him because THIS
is one of my favorites.  Not a Christmas card pic, or a big "framer"
but this picture is H made over.  Love it.

Thankful for Mondays and for this little face.

lights, cold weather, frosty and the tree

Every year I have said that I wanted Christmas lights.  This year we got them and I am so excited!!
The first night they were on, Hunter ran out to see them.
He said, "it's amazing!" and was so happy.
Love it and just everything about this time of the year.

It has been a COLD weekend.  The kids wanted to go out and play.
They were inside about five minutes later.

We watched this "growing" snowman for 24 hours.
It was actually pretty cool to see him grow his fluff.

I was dead set that we don't get our tree out until Friday after Thanksgiving.
After church today we had nothing else going on for the rest of the day so I
caved and it's now up.  I love it.  No other Christmas decorations
are out, but the tree takes the most time and Christmas is only a month away.

My little helper today.

We are so looking forward to a week off of our schedule.  No school, no alarm clock and no where we have to be.  We have some fun things planned and I am looking forward to focusing on everything we are thankful for this week.  Even though some of our tree is up, I still love Thanksgiving and won't forget about our blessings this week.  So thankful.

sic 'em bears

What a FUN weekend.  I had been looking forward to this Baylor game for a
while and it was a blast.
Baylor played Texas Tech at Cowboy Stadium and there was a huge group of us that went together to tailgate and to the game.  It was an exciting game for sure!  Baylor can't seem to wake up until the second quarter of a game, but they woke up for sure and played great.
So fun!

Fun night with the best of friends.

school pics, peace signs and soccer

Not sure how the middle of November got here but here we are.

Hunter's school pics came in and I can't stop laughing.
Maybe it's the hand in the pocket?

Or "riding" the bike through the fake leaves.

Then we have Abby throwing the peace sign on the way to church.

On a different subject -
Hunter LOVES his soccer class.  Monday was the last day of fall
session so each child got a medal.  It made H's week!

Such a sweet class!
