my sweet sister

Many of you know what my family has been going through the past week or so.   Needless to say...it's been a roller coaster.  I can not thank you all enough for all of the prayers, phone calls, emails, support and encouragement.  It's truly been overwhelming.  I can't wait to tell Katie all about the love that was shown for her and our family.  I truly believe my sister is going to be fine.  It might be a long road ahead, but as my brother said yesterday we are seeing "small victories" and that is huge.  Thank you friends for everything.  You mean the world to me and I so appreciate each and every one of you.

A few weeks ago at church our pastor talked about praying on your knees with your palms up.  It represents total surrender to the Lord.  On Monday morning when the doctor said he was concerned and worried I felt helpless and was in total need of the peace that only He can give.  I got on my knees and was palms up and just gave it all to Him.  Since that moment I have truly felt a peace that only HE can give.   Keep the prayers coming.  She is improving every day.  I believe she will continue to heal.  It will just take some time.

Right there with ya sister. I am so thankful for the last few days....so thankful for God's mercy and grace to give those small victories. Katie is a fighter and she'll get through this, and like I told you...she would expect nothing less than an army of prayer warriors if it were one of us. I'm so thankful to see the army has showed up, and the LORD has answered!

Your stregth is an inspiration. God tells us that we must only have faith as small as a mustard seed, but the family of God has shown a mighty faith in Katie's name! Thank you for loving your sister so much and for loving the Lord even more! It is a priveledge to call you my sister.
Love to the whole White clan!

Oh Mandy. We are just heartbroken at what is happening to your sweet family. We will continue to pray for Katie (and her baby, husband and the rest of you guys). You are right, it is SO POWERFUL to give something fully to the Lord and to feel it.

Mandy,
I've been lifting Katie and your family up hourly and wanting to wrap my arms around her. I saw her Monday and it's a sight I'll never forget. I know you've got plenty of friends and family anxious to help, but if there's ANYTHING I can do from here, please don't hesitate to ask.

Brian and I will continue to pray for Katie and all of your family. You have really amazed me at how strong you've been. You are truly a woman of faith and I've told someone before that I know when you say you are praying...you really are. I'm sure Katie is like that too. What a wonderful family you have...even if it scared her you were all there!!! I am so glad to hear how much better she is doing. Prayer works!!

Jen told me about your sister and I've been praying for her ever since I first heard.

It means the world to me to know that you're there for my sister when I can't be. It seems only right that now I can be praying for your sister.

Much love to you and your whole family.
